Ruff start to the year

Seem like we are getting a lot of shit tore up this year. Every race someone is getting on there lid. I realize that is part of racing but sure seem a little excessive this year. Really hard to keep the car count up if we dont have car to race. Mite be time for one of those talks dont you think Bob? I just pulled my motor back out and sent it off again. I mite be moving to a new motor soon than I thought.

Not only shit getting tore up but it seems like a lot of cars are just flat breaking. I know I am putting in a good 6-8 hours a week maintenance on mine and still have had problems. Steering broke on Hockett and the brakes are continuing to plague me again this year. The steering arm was just missed bolt tightening that I now check each and every week. I'm about ready to totally change out the brake system and go with some other way of stopping (Fred Flintstone style?). They are hanging up which in turn slows the car way down. Happened at Valley with Richard Layne and also at Butler on me. It is to the point now that I have to fix them before it can hit the track again. Actually had metal on metal and was throwing a trail of sparks. Not sure whether this is going to happen this week or not. Last time I tore into this part it was a pain in the butt to get apart.

I hear ya guys. If it ain't one thing, it's something else this year. I finished nearly every lap of every race last season (granted it was a shorter season with rainouts) and have 4 DNF's in 4 races this year. Sophomore blues I guess? Lots of different story lines throughout the series this year, to a fan, it would be exciting. The points battle is going to be tight all year as long as Beau doesn't run away with it... We have thought we have had our program back on track every race and continue to have issues... We are planning to stick it out each and every week until we run out of $. Been some good racing so far this year, hoping to be a part of it here very soon!
