Two big races planned in Indiana for 2009!!!!
I am not sure if everyone got this email so I thought I would post it here. Anyone want to make early plans to see INDAINA?
The MMSA is pleased to announce that Mike Miles, promoter at Bloomington Speedway, has awarded the MMSA the single support class for his two most important events of the 2009 season. Both events are USAC sprint races, the first on Friday, May 8th and again on Friday, July 17th (Indiana Sprint Week). This will be the first opportunity for the MMSA to perform on the famous "RED CLAY" 1/4 mile track and is viewed as a HUGE step for upright mini sprints in the region.
These two major events will highlight the MMSA 2009 schedule, paying $1,000 to win each, plus other $$ bonuses. Additional information about these races will be announced in the near future, i.e., a Saturday race after each at another track in the immediate area. The entire schedule will be posted as soon as exact dates are confirmed.
As of now, we have 21 races at 6 different tracks. We expect to add 2 or 3 more races at 2 or 3 additional tracks.
Plans are being formulated to perform the 1,000cc motor inspection and sealing at two locations -- one being at the "Extreme Racing"
shop in Bainbridge, Ohio, and the other at "Randy Kiser’s" shop in Bloomington, IN. This will be done in mid-late March by qualified personnel (not car owners or other participants).
The MMSA is a STOCK 1,000cc, upright, winged touring class with provision for 600cc cars to participate, and are encouraged to do so with performance bonuses.
Membership application forms, rules and other information are available on this site.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone.
