What changes would you like to see for MOLS in 2009
?
Personaly I would like to see any races scheduled with in two weeks of race date be mandatory point race. And I would like to have the option of 2-3 drop races on the schedule.

I would vote for a drop race. It is hard to make every race throughout the summer. And then if you miss one, with our current rules, it is like getting penalized. Hurts for the rest of the year from that point on.

Weird......the newer posts go to the top and push the original posts down. Never seen a message board do it that way before. You have to start at the bottom and work your way up to catch up on the topic.

Asked it on the other forum but is there a scheduled rules meeting for MOLS yet? I'm still trying to figure out why MOLS had two non-points races when for the last few years, EVERY race was a points race? No matter what. Not saying I don't agree with "drop race" idea because we all know that everyone has a race they would like to forget. I guess it all depends on how many races actually get scheduled. Sounds like this year car count might be even more critical to maintain venues.

Chris that is strange. I have looked in the admin tools and don’t see a way to rev. it. I will do some more checking.
Another thing we need is some ID on are tanks so the safety personal know if there is a fire that the car in question is running Methanol or Gasoline. The Mid America group has a letter A or a G up by there fill on the top of the tank. I would also like to see one on the bottom of the tank just in case we are upside town.
What about Head and Neck restraints? Do you think they should be mandatory in our series? I know Matt #83 wears a Hans and Jim#92 just bought Scott Allens old Hutchenson device. Chris I know you are looking at the D-cel for next year but do you think it should have to be part of our safety package and mandatory? I know I most likely will get one before next season. But do you think this will price some guys out of racing?

It is hard to put a price on safety. Now that we have had an incident, I don't see how we can continue to ignore some of the safety items we should have. Hopefully, it doesn't price anyone out of the series. I will be one of those that is gonna have a hard time finding the money. But for safety's sake.....I feel we should have something. God forbid, but if we don't do something and then have another incident next year.....well, that would be the unacceptable. Just my opinion but I think we need something in the rules. Regardless, I will probably have some sort of device before then. One way or another.

I would also like to add to the list that more than one person have access to update the MOLS web site!

1. The letter “A” for alcohol or a “G” for gasoline on each side of the neck of the tail tank assembly and on the bottom of the tail assembly un case the car us upside down for safety crews
2. A need for more than one official to have access to the MOLS web site.
3. All video shot are the property of the Mid West Outlaw lighting sprint car Association and it members and will be posted on either u tube or MOLS web site promptly. No later than one week after event.
4. All races schedule with in two weeks of race date are mandatory point’s races.
5. 10% of the races will be dropped from your points. So if there are 20 races the 2 lowest points’s races will be dropped. If we race 25 times 3 races will be dropped. The % will be averaged up if there are 5 races or more.
6. Posted payouts. There maybe good reason this cannot happen.
7. No more than 33 % of the races held at one track.
8. MOLS will only run winged events. OMMS is running non winged so if you want to run non wing events then run with them. We need to distinguish ourselves from OMMS otherwise why not just merge with them?
